TL;DR

  • HiAPI bills Creatify Boreal by requested duration: $0.0145/s at 720p, $0.043/s at 1080p, and $0.1715/s at 2K.
  • A five-second clip costs $0.0725 / $0.215 / $0.8575 respectively. Decide the useful shot length before choosing a resolution.

Multiply requested seconds by the rate for the selected resolution. duration accepts integers from 1 to 20 and defaults to 10; resolution defaults to 720p. Set duration: 5 explicitly for a five-second test. Otherwise the ten-second default doubles that planned request duration and charge. Failed tasks refund the reserved charge.

One prompt: rooftop tea across tiers

All three clips use the same prompt, five requested seconds and a 16:9 request, with 720p, 1080p and 2K selected separately. Open the original videos before choosing a delivery tier.

Golden hour on a rooftop garden: a ceramic teapot pours steaming tea into a glass cup, camera slowly pushes in, leaves sway in the breeze, soft city ambience and birdsong.

720p: 1280×720, five requested seconds, $0.0725. 1080p: 1920×1056, five requested seconds, $0.215. Both MP4 containers measure 5.04 seconds and contain non-silent audio; billing still uses five requested seconds.

Both previews contain tea vessels, steam, and rooftop plants. The camera and vessel positions differ, so composition changes should not be attributed to resolution. The 1080p tier produced a 1056-pixel-high file in this case; the caption retains its measured dimensions.

creatify-boreal, 2K, aspect_ratio: "16:9", five requested seconds, $0.8575. The native output is 2016×1152 with an actual 7:4 ratio, an MP4 container of about 5.04 seconds at 24 fps, and a non-silent AAC track. The cover is a frame extracted at 4.8 seconds.

This 2K sample shows a rooftop garden, a teapot on the table, a glass cup and steam, with a slow push-in. The sampled frames do not show the pouring action requested in the prompt. Actual pixels and compositions differ across the three tiers; these are individual tier examples, not a matched-pixel quality test. Audio has not undergone a listening review, so birdsong is not presented as a verified result.

Choose a tier around the delivery job

  1. Use 720p to establish the shot. At $0.0725 for five seconds, check whether the product appears, the spoken line fits, and the camera direction makes sense. Change one variable per round rather than changing the prompt, aspect ratio, and resolution together.
  2. Move selected shots to 1080p. The same five seconds cost $0.215, an additional $0.1425. Once the direction is settled, inspect product edges, on-screen lettering, and legibility on the device where the clip will run.
  3. Allocate 2K to a delivery need. Five seconds cost $0.8575. This is a resolution tier, not a promise that every aspect ratio produces 2560×1440 pixels. Landscape and portrait long-edge handling differs from square, 4:3, and 3:4 output.
  4. Generate a shot, not an entire script at once. The 1–20 second range lets you separate an opening, product detail, and closing action. Give each shot a purpose before ordering it, rather than paying for seconds that the final edit will discard.

Monthly budgets for five-second clips

Clips per monthAll 720pAll 1080pAll 2K
100$7.25$21.50$85.75
1,000$72.50$215.00$857.50
10,000$725.00$2,150.00$8,575.00

An 800-clip batch at 720p plus 200 clips at 1080p costs $101.00, versus $215.00 for all 1080p: a $114.00 difference. These counts mean actual submissions. Repeated attempts at one shot still count individually, so a shot with three revision rounds uses three request budgets.

$10 covers approximately 137 five-second clips at 720p, 46 at 1080p, or 11 at 2K. List the required output count, average duration, and expected revision rounds before choosing a resolution mix. That plan is more useful than treating the lowest per-second number as the entire project budget.

Compare billing with photo-presenter models

Model720p rateDuration basisInput focus
Creatify Boreal$0.0145/sRequested durationPrompt, optionally image or audio
HeyGen Avatar IV$0.15/sOutput video durationPortrait plus script or audio

The models use different duration bases. A five-second request to one service does not establish the other model's final output length. Fix the source material and target duration first, then calculate each charge on its own basis. When a specific photographed person must speak, compare the input workflow before selecting by price alone.

FAQ

What does the default request cost?

The default combination is 720p for ten seconds, costing $0.145. Set duration and resolution explicitly to control the per-request budget.

Does adding an image or audio use another model?

It still uses creatify-boreal. This page calculates the budget from its resolution tier and requested duration.

Does 2K always mean 2560×1440?

There is no single fixed canvas for every ratio. Landscape and portrait use a 2016-pixel long-edge specification; other ratios use their corresponding tier handling. Check the actual artifact dimensions.

Does changing a prompt cost another request?

A new submission is a new generation request and belongs in the count. Reuse one idempotency key for network retries of the same business request.

Next, copy the rooftop-tea prompt and try five seconds at 720p. Use the API guide for request code and the case templates for more scenes.
