Nano Banana 2.1 on HiAPI costs $0.022 per image at 1K, $0.036 at 2K and $0.058 at 4K. That is roughly 29%–49% below Google's standard price, and the Programmers' Day 50%-off offer halves that.

How much does Nano Banana 2.1 cost per image?
| Resolution | HiAPI price | Programmers' Day price (50% off) | Google standard price | You save vs Google |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1K | $0.022 | $0.011 | $0.0336 | ~35% |
| 2K | $0.036 | $0.018 | $0.0504 | ~29% |
| 4K | $0.058 | $0.029 | $0.113 | ~49% |
One flat price per image, set by output resolution alone. Text-to-image and reference-image editing cost the same: you pay for successful images, failed tasks are refunded automatically, and up to 10 reference images add nothing to the bill.
The model page shows prices in credits: 44 credits at 1K, 72 at 2K and 116 at 4K, with 2,000 credits = $1. During the Programmers' Day offer, a 1K image is just 22 credits.
What a first test costs: $10 buys about 450 images at 1K, about 277 at 2K, or about 172 at 4K. That is plenty to take a prompt from rough draft to final. Try your first image on the model page →
What will my monthly bill look like?
Images per month times the per-resolution price. At regular prices:
| Images per month | 1K | 2K | 4K |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $2.20 | $3.60 | $5.80 |
| 1,000 | $22 | $36 | $58 |
| 10,000 | $220 | $360 | $580 |
A store producing 1,000 product shots a month spends $22 at 1K, and $36 if every one of them goes out at 2K. While the Programmers' Day offer runs, halve any figure in the table.
Which resolution gives you the best value?
- Iterate at 1K. Lock composition, colour and text placement at the lowest price, and run as many rounds as you need.
- Step up for finals. Move each image to 2K or 4K once, at the end. 2K is where wood grain, fabric and small type become easy to check; 4K is for large print and heavy cropping.
- Pick the aspect ratio your layout needs. All 15 ratios, including 1:8 and 8:1 banners, are priced by resolution tier, so a tall banner costs the same as a square.
- Add references freely. For multi-round edits, feed the last result back in as a reference image. Every round stays at the same price.
- Submit each task once. Poll with the returned
taskIdor receive the result viacallback.url. A repeated POST creates a new task and is billed again.
The interior below is a 2K, 4:3 render: $0.036 per image, or $0.018 at 50% off. The walnut grain, velvet seat and stone floor all hold up at that size.
