Mirelo SFX 2.0 API Pricing: $0.0215 per Second

Per-second rates from 1 to 30 seconds, a budget table for $10 to $100, and how the rate compares with ElevenLabs Sound Effects v2 on HiAPI.

Mirelo SFX 2.0 costs $0.0215 per second of generated audio on HiAPI, or 43 credits. One second is $0.0215, five seconds is $0.1075, and a full 30-second bed is $0.645. A $10 balance buys about 465 seconds, which is roughly 77 clips at 6 seconds each.

Mirelo SFX 2.0 is live on HiAPI. Open the model page, write one description, and generate the file; new accounts get 200 credits on sign-up.

What does it cost per second?

Billing runs on output seconds, starting at 1 second, and failed tasks are refunded automatically. The rate is $0.0215 per second, and 2,000 credits equal $1, so a second also costs 43 credits.

The request has two fields: prompt (1–2,000 characters) and duration (an integer from 1 to 30, default 5). There is no quality tier and no sample-rate option. Every request returns one WAV at PCM 16-bit, 48 kHz, mono, and the bill follows duration alone.

3 seconds$0.0645129
5 seconds$0.1075215
10 seconds$0.215430

A site case: 10 seconds of rain on a metal roof at night

The rainy roof case on the model page runs 10 seconds and cost $0.215. Hear the WAV, then open the model page for a 5-second take →

For short effects you are buying attempts more than duration: a 1-second try is $0.0215, so a miss costs less than a coffee. Ambience that has to sit under a whole scene is where the 10-to-30-second range earns its keep.

Thirty seconds is the ceiling for one task. A longer ambience pass becomes several requests along the timeline, each still billed at the same per-second rate.

How far does a budget go?

BudgetAudio you can generate
$10about 465 seconds
$25about 1,163 seconds
$50about 2,326 seconds
$100about 4,651 seconds

At $10 that is 77 clips of 6 seconds, enough to run several takes in two or three directions, pick the keepers, and only then scale up. Budget in seconds rather than clips: decide how long the effect needs to be, then multiply by $0.0215. Start with one clip →

How do you write descriptions that do not need reruns?

With a two-field model the money goes into reruns, not into the rate. All the control lives in prompt: name the source, the material, the action, the distance and space, then the attack and the tail. Audition at 1–3 seconds, and only stretch duration once the direction and the attack are right. One description should carry one sound event; an impact and the debris that follows are two requests.

Heavy rain at night on a corrugated metal roof, dense overlapping droplets, distant rolling thunder, water running into a gutter, close-to-mid perspective, steady ambience with no music and no voices.

Use this prompt → The link fills the description only; set duration to 10 seconds after it opens to match the case on the model page.

Each clause does one job: what the rain hits, how dense it sounds, what sits in the distance, and where the listener stands. The closing "no music and no voices" removes what you do not want before it shows up, which is usually cheaper than a rerun. The 2,000-character allowance is enough to write a complete sound spec.

How does it compare with the other sound-effect model on HiAPI?

ModelPer second5 secondsOutputDuration
Mirelo SFX 2.0$0.0215$0.1075WAV, PCM 16-bit / 48 kHz / monoInteger 1–30 seconds, default 5
ElevenLabs Sound Effects v2$0.0029$0.0145MP3, 44.1 kHz / 128 kbps / stereoSeconds per request, fractions allowed

Both rows come from the same /api/pricing feed. The difference sits in the handoff: for a 5-second effect, Mirelo SFX 2.0 returns a whole-second WAV for $0.1075, and ElevenLabs Sound Effects v2 returns an MP3 for $0.0145. Take the first when the file goes straight into a mix that stays lossless; take the second when the job is a large set of very short accents. The side-by-side comparison covers the two formats on one description.

FAQ

Can it generate a 1-second effect? Yes. Set duration to 1 and the task costs $0.0215. The hammer-on-steel case on the model page is a 1-second delivery.

Is billing per clip or per second? Per output second. Whatever you set in duration is what you pay for, starting at 1 second, with no per-clip minimum.

Are failed tasks charged? No. A failed task is refunded automatically.

How many clips do the 200 free credits cover? 200 credits are worth $0.10, about 4.6 seconds, which covers a 1-second take and a 2-second one before you decide whether to top up.

Run your first effect
